Full Sale Report
Congratulations to the vendors and successful purchasers of lots from the 2018 NCHA Select Cutting Horse Sale. Today we saw a catalogue of horses boasting exceptional genetics offered to a busy (albeit a bit chilly!) crowd at AELEC.
Lot 36 "Metallic To The Max", a yearling Metallic Cat x Dainty Pepto Girl colt offered by Lloyd & Carlee Neilsen fetched the top price of $43,000. He was sold to Ryan Jeffree of Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Top priced broodmare was Lot 70, "Winderadeen Whiskey Cat" on account of Jason & Rachel Leitch. The Intricatolena x Winderadeen Scotch Mist mare is an NCHA Open Futurity Champion and Hall of Fame inductee and was sold PTIF to EB's Phalaris. She sold post auction for $40,000 to a phone bidder from Karlbar, QLD.
The ridden horses were topped by Lot 76, "Spin Cat" on account of Glenn & Rosilyn Kirkbride. The 7 year old Sophisticated Catt x Spin Dot gelding with LTE of $13,343 was sold for $24,000 to Renee Richardson of Roma, QLD.
Congratulations also to the successful bidders on the 4 charity lots offered in donation to the Smith family to support them during this difficult time.
Lot 8 "Petas Onebrow" was donated by Cliff & Mareika Wallace and fetched $7,000. The Highbrow CD x Petas Royelle yearling gelding was sold to Nive River Pastoral Co.
Lot 70A, an unnamed Heavy Metal x Winderadeen Whiskey Cat colt foal, was donated by Jason & Rachel Leitch and sold for $5,000. Lot 74B, an unnamed Sannman x Duntay Bonnie Rey weanling colt, was donated by Vince & Sally Bonello (Delta QH Stud) and sold for $3,500. The final charity lot for the day was Lot 74C, "Oh So Purrfect" - a Stylin Cat x Purrfect mare who will be a 2019 Futurity prospect. She was donated by Holly Clayden and purchased for $8,000.
Many thanks to Landmark & AELEC staff and of course the NCHA for allowing us the privilege of selling a fantastic line up of horses at the Futurity again. We look forward to seeing some of today's lots back competing at future Futurities...or maybe at some campdrafts!
